With an MBA in Human Resources and a number of years of experience in the field, Purva comes to DUO for a JOB. Despite her diploma and experience, finding a job in the Netherlands is difficult. She wants help from a mentor to better understand the Dutch labor market and build a network here. Mentor Anita becomes her guide. Together, they go on a journey of discovery, share joys and sorrows and get to know each other's culture. Purva becomes more confident and gains volunteer experience as an HR recruiter.
“Anita didn't just show me the way in the labor market. She let me explore. I realized I could go out and talk to people. I've learned how to expand my network and that it's good in Dutch culture to ask questions”. But Anita also learns the other way around from her mentee: “Purva taught me to stay flexible when setting goals.”
