Abed Alrahman, like 3,000 other mentees, is a refugee. After receiving his accounting degree, he was unable to stay in his home country of Syria. Via Lebanon, Sudan and Turkey, he ended up in the Netherlands. Abed Alrahman worked here as a volunteer interpreter, but dreamed of a job in his sector. He went to work with his mentor Mirjam. And with success! He now has a contract with PWC. By giving refugees like Abed Alrahman a place in our society, we give them the opportunity to rebuild their lives. That's exactly what our mentors do! Many of our mentees have travelled like Abed Alrahman. Young people who found the safety of a new home with great difficulty and became an important part of our society.
